Dr. Randy Miller
Practice Owner
Originally from Graham MO, Dr. Miller received his DVM from the University of Missouri in 2011. He purchased Sugar Creek in 2016 from the late Dr. Vater who was much loved by the community. Since then, Dr. Miller has enjoyed providing quality, friendly and affordable veterinary services to the local community.
When he’s not at the clinics, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, working with his family’s registered angus operation and tending his own cattle herd.
Dr. Erin Morris
DVM
Originally from Wyoming, Dr. Morris spent 5 years in the US Army before completing her Bachelor of Animal Science and DVM degrees at the University of Missouri in 2016, all with the support of her amazing husband, Dusty.
In the clinic, she enjoys surgery and preventative medicine, and will talk your ear off about the importance of socialization and training.
In her spare time, Dr. Morris is actively involved in competition with her dogs Kelce (scent work, FastCAT) and Rookie (hunt testing/scent work). She is also an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs!
Dr. Lauren Quaney
DVM
Dr. Quaney grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri. She attended Missouri Western State University for her bachelor’s degree and graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. She has been a part of our team since May 2020. Dr. Quaney currently lives in Columbia with her husband and son. She has two cats named Raikou and Frog.
Dr. Quaney is particularly interested in client education, management of chronic diseases, and soft tissue surgery. In her free time, Dr. Quaney enjoys spending time with her family, painting watercolors, and gardening.
Dr. William Meyers
DVM
Dr. Meyers is originally from Washington state! He moved to Missouri in 2011 and received his DVM from the University of Missouri in 2015. He joined the Sugar Creek team in 2023! He also does shelter work in Fulton, MO. What’s his favorite part of the job? He loves surgery the most!! He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and daughter. They stay busy with their chickens, turkeys, guineas, rabbits, dogs, and cats!
Eva Jo
Practice Manager
Eva Jo has been with Sugar Creek since the doors opened in 2016. She started out as a technician and has enjoyed transitioning over the years to practice management at Sugar Creek and Dr. Miller’s other veterinary service locations throughout northeast Missouri. In her free time, she enjoys working on her family farm, photography, participating in church/community events and any outdoor activities!
Tina
Receptionist
Tina began working at Sugar Creek in 2018 as a vet tech and has transitioned over the years to our reception area. She grew up not far from Moberly, where she helped take care of numerous farm animals at home and has had a passion for the vet field ever since she was a little girl. Currently, she has 6 dogs and a cat. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and being in the great outdoors.
Shelby
Vet Assistant
Shelby joined our team at Sugar Creek in 2020 as a veterinary technician. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son on their hobby farm, taking care of their multiple pets/animals, as well as riding her horses!
Brooke
Vet Assistant
Brooke has been one of our veterinary technicians here at Sugar Creek since 2020. During her free time, she enjoys hunting, horse riding, and hanging out with her 2 cats, Turtle and Willy, and her dog, Wrangler!
Kaylyn
Vet Assistant
Kaylyn is the newest member to join our Sugar Creek team as a veterinary technician in 2024. She is currently attending the firefighter academy in Columbia, and in her time off, she enjoys working out and spending time on her hobby farm with her 3 dogs: Bo, Kiah, and Kojak.
Heather
Receptionist
Heather began working at Sugar Creek as our receptionist in 2019. During her time off, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, amazing grandchildren and planning her next beach vacation! She has 2 cats-Wink and Simon, and a boxer named Petee!
Figs
Figs joined our clinic in 2022 when he was found as a kitten under our storage shed. He has grown up around all different kinds of dogs and cats and loves them all equally! In his spare time, you’ll find him outside catching mice, basking in his window perch in the lobby, or stealing another cat’s kennel for a nap!
